SureMark provides a way for you to establish a digital identity which is impervious to AI deepfakes, no matter how sophisticated. You can then use this identity in a number of ways. You can use it to prove who you are to anyone else in a zoom meeting, phone call, or even a text exchange. You can also use SureMark software to verify the identity of anyone else with a valid SureMark credential. In addition, you can use it to certify content of your own creation anywhere across the internet. And if someone creates content about you on the internet, you can provide secure comments about that content, which anyone can see alongside the content. If you are misrepresented or deepfaked by that content you can set the record straight. Again, viewable by anyone using the free SureMark software.

SureMark is based on secure cryptographic protocols that are at the heart of systems similar those the banking industry uses to encrypt the most sensitive financial data. The same tools that underlie the security of websites across the internet, and the same fundamental methods used to keep secret the most sensitive information of nearly all nation-states.

Yes, SureMark tests, not whether the content is real or synthetic, but rather whether it has been authorized by a particular SureMark credential holder or not. It relies, not on AI, but on well-established cryptographic techniques, including public-key cryptography.
There are many clever efforts to try to protect you from AI deepfakes. However, most of them rely on using AI tools to analyze a piece of content to detect AI deepfakes. This approach has proven historically difficult, as it leads to an ever-escalating kind of cat and mouse game as the quality of the deepfakes continues to improve.
